YONDER

Support

Yonder is a long-range ballistics training simulator: range a target through a mil/MOA reticle, build a firing solution, dial or hold, and call your shot. This page covers how to get help and answers to common questions.

Frequently asked

Is Yonder a real firing solution for use in the field?

No. Yonder is a training and entertainment simulator. It is not intended to compute or be used as a firing solution for live fire. Always verify any real-world dope against your own equipment, conditions, and a qualified source.

Can I use my own rifle and load?

On Yonder Pro — yes. Build and save your exact load (your bullet, muzzle velocity, twist, and a trued BC) from the full cartridge library, one profile per rifle. The free version comes with one validated reference load — a .308 178-grain ELD-M — with adjustable muzzle velocity, zero, and atmosphere, so you can put the solver through its paces before you upgrade. A reference load is not your rifle's dope: real come-ups differ, especially past 600 yards, so dial in your own load on Pro before you trust the numbers.

Does Yonder need an internet connection?

No. The trainer runs fully offline. A connection is only needed for optional networked multiplayer against a friend.

Where is my data? Do I have an account?

There are no accounts. Your profiles, scores, and settings are stored on your device. The app uses anonymous, cookieless usage analytics (never linked to you) and no cross-app tracking; beyond that, data only leaves your device for the optional online features — the daily leaderboard, and networked matches where available (an anonymous key + a display name you choose). See our Privacy Policy for the details.

The screen is sideways / asking me to rotate.

Yonder is landscape-only by design — it mirrors holding a rifle with two hands (left thumb pans, right thumb works the zoom rail and FIRE). Rotate your device to landscape to play.

I don't feel the haptics / hear the audio.

Haptics and audio each have an in-app toggle and are on by default. Also check your device's silent switch and that "System Haptics" is enabled in iOS Settings → Sounds & Haptics.

How do I restore a purchase?

Purchases are tied to your Apple ID. Use "Restore Purchases" in the app on any device signed in with the same Apple ID.

Learn the fundamentals

Yonder includes a built-in Academy that teaches ranging, the come-up, wind, and reading a DOPE card from the ground up — start there if the terms above are new.
